Cigarettes in are quite expensive in Australia compared to other countries because they are taxed heavily as products harmful to your health. A package of 20 cigarettes costs about $12.00 to $15.00.
When purchasing cigarettes, you may be asked for your
identification, which you must show, even if you are over the legal
age of 16 years old.
Cigarettes are sold in supermarkets and by news agents.
