Migrants highly educated

Most recent migrants to developed countries have university degrees, making newcomers the best educated in the general population! More than 50% of recent migrants to Canada, Australia, Ireland, and the UK have a tertiary education. There has also been an increase in skilled migrant women moving for work, not family reasons. 26% of all the migrants with degrees come from India, the UK, the Philippines, China, and Germany. However, the problem rests in local authorities not recognising credentials, with many university educated newcomers working in low to medium-skilled jobs.
